Prototype Devlog #2
Here is this week’s progress.
I focused mainly on improving the way raiders and bosses are done so they can use abilities automatically. It is now easier for me to create new ones as I only have to give them a list of spells. Given this improvement, I modified the raiders that accompany the player to use this as well as adding some bosses to have a bit more variety.
At first I planned on adding a last class for the prototype (a priest) but I have changed my view on this. My current goal is to implement everything I want to be a part of the demo (or at least implement a basic version). Which is why this week I will focus on adding a raid selection menu where you will be able to select the raid you want to do and the raiders you want to bring with you.
This week changes
- Added a wipe button to end a fight prematurely
- Added two new bosses
- Added boss preview (currently plain text without real formatting)
- Raiders and bosses automatically use a spell list given to them
Planned changes
I will (probably) be working on these things in the coming week(s)
- Executables for Windows/Mac/Linux (unsure if anyone would use them but it shouldn’t take me too long to make and maintain)
- Raid selection menu (choose which raid to do and which raider to bring with you)
- Raiders traits (have a reason to pick a raider over another)
- Item/power scaling (first step for a progression system)
